A new feature in Version 2.5.0 allows you to Export to a spreadsheet in Google Documents. For this to work you will need to store your Google User ID and Password in the Settings locations on your device. Also you will need to make sure you have access to Google Documents. You can check by going to http://docs.google.com/
1. Store your User ID and Password
After opening the Settings app on your device, you will notice at the bottom there is an Accountr option. More the likely you probably have other application settings also listed. Select “Accountr” and you will see a screen that allows you to enter your User ID and Password. Once entered, you can just click the Home button to exit.
2. Export
Now that your User ID and Password are stored on the Device you can use the “Google Spreadsheets” option when exporting your Transactions or Budget Totals within the Accountr application.
3. Viewing your spreadsheet
Once your spreadsheet has been created you can either browse to http://docs.google.com/ or http://docs.google.com/m (mobile)
Google also has an application in the App Store that is available for free that allows for easy access to their services including Google Docs.
This tutorial will step you through the process of adding a “Spend” amount. Once you have done this, adding an “Earn” amount works the same way.
In order to add a “Spend” amount, you must have at least one Category and at least one Subcategory. Initially setting up these Categories takes some time, but once you have them defined, adding amounts will be very fast and organized.
Steps we will make:
1. Touch Spend
2. Add a Category with a budget amount
3. Add a Subcategory under the Category we just defined
4. Add an amount under the Category/Subcategory
5. See the final result and how it relates to a budget and export features
This new release that should be hitting the app store by next week will include an option to export your data.
