I will be focusing heavily on the following features for the next major update:

1.  Transfer option between accounts

2.  Automatic reoccurring transactions

  1. dont forget to spend some of your energy(if not all lol ) in creating a search by category, amount, date option for our transactions. and of course the all important graphs.keep them simple.monthly income vs expence plus a couple more.and if you want to make your app by far the best get rid of the standard numeric key pad and create one of yours with huge numbers and no letters like the iphone’s one.and please focus on fixing a bug that if you create a transaction and you input a date for example 2 months before the current one most(yes i know most not always) of the times it saves the transaction with the current date.when you edit it later on it always registers the correct date.keep up the good work!

  2. I really love your program. I use it a lot. Better than all the others (free and paid) that I have downloaded. Just want to suggest for the next update. Can you please make it possible for us to edit the budget? Especially great for typo errors and budget miscalculations. Button for deleting budget categories would be a plus, too. Thanks a lot.

  3. You can currently edit budgets by touching the blue arrow next to each item.

  4. update!the date bug only shows up on earn( green) transactions.the spend(red) works fine.hope it helps.

  5. Thanks I’ll look into that

  6. I have a major problem with the application. When I add an amount under “Earn”, and then go to the “Spend” view, I realise that the earnt amount is actually being added to spent amounts!!!! Am I the only one that has noticed this, or am I missing something? Hope to get a reply/fix soon.

    Thanks

  7. This is a bug when category names are the same. This has been fixed and is waiting approval by Apple.

  8. Thanks!!! I’ll be waiting for that…

  9. Is it possible to add an option to mark a transaction as “cleared”? If not, could it be added on the next update? Thanks

  10. Is it possible to add the option to view earn and spend results separately? I think is really usefull to be able to see the total income and the total expenses.

Thanks and congrats for the app.

  11. Hi,

I think the time is not very useful and can be taken out.

Besides, I hope that the applications can provides monthly report functionality.

    Thanks a lot.

  12. I have enjoyed your application, but the budget function is borderline worthless to me because you can’t (or I haven’t found out how to) have a budget spawning from multiple accounts. e.g. I have allotted $300 for food this month. When I spend $50 on my credit card ‘Category: Food’ only my credit card knows it. The budget in the spending for my checking account, cash, and other credit card are not affected by the purchase so I would have to estimate what percentage of my dining will be purchased by each account in order to create a useful budget. Obviously the accounts must remain independent, but if you could merge the budgets, spending, and earning then it would allow users to have one budget and use multiple means of payments. I hope that makes since; if not, I’ll try to clarify. That issue aside: great app!

  13. Sorry about that. I should have explored the site more first. I figured it out. I didn’t think to look under phone settings. Thanks for a great app and feedback oriented updates

  14. Dan: The “Cleared” functionality is there its just kind of hidden. By default all your transactions are being cleared. If you want to track this, then you can go into the device settings->under Accountr. And change the “Auto Clear” option to OFF. This will start making new transactions show as blue (uncleared).

To clear transactions, you go into Reconcile Mode (click the arrow looking button in the top left corner in the app). Then touch the transactions that have been cleared, to remove them from the list. To go back, you can either touch the cleared amount or re-select reconcile mode.

I need to create a tutorial on this soon…

  15. I was just wondering if you plan to add synchronization between iphones. This would be ideal for families. So far, I’ve found two budget programs that allow syncing. “Family Budget” and ” Budget.” From screenshots, I like your app better, but syncing is a must for my wife and I. Thanks

  16. The ability to send transactions to another iPhone via an email link will be coming after a few other key features are implemented.

  17. Hi, I bought the application and I’m working in the setup and I have a question. How can I manage one budget and register payments from three different checking accounts? Looks like the application only permits one budget linked to one account, is this right?

    Thanks!

  18. No, if you go into the device settings->accountr, you can change the “Category Scope” setting to ‘All Accounts’. This will use the same categories/budgets across all accounts.

  19. Before I give any comment, I must said that this is by far the first personal finance app I purchase from iTunes Store. I thought I’m going to said “Money well spent”, but later change my mind as I found there is some lack of features in this app which I hope can be added in future release.

    Features lacked:
    - Option to transfer money from one account to another. Example: I have $200 in one of my ATM and I just transfer it to my another bank.

    - Multiple countries currency support
-> As a Malaysian citizen (currency: MYR (Ringgit Malaysia)), I’m sad to know that there is only 1 currency being supported, US dollar. Hopefully the developer can include currency support in future release.

    - Option to input more details (lines/rows) in memo/note section.
-> So far we are only allowed to enter 1 line of text in the memo section. What if I want to enter details in multiple lines, like transfering electronic money or doing e-banking transaction to third party account that include the user bank account, email and so on?

-> Option to allow user to choose whether to view the details (including subcategories and memo) field in a series choice of lines (1 line, 2 lines, 3 lines, 4 lines, 5 lines, Full text) instead of using the elipse. For person who likes details (like spending my money on Dinner at KFC and buying Dinner Plate) to be viewed.

That’s all for my comment, really hope I can see some changes in the next major release.

  20. Hi Jeff…

I’ve found your app to be quite unique compared to the competition in that you offer budgeting and checkbook management together. I’ve been using it for a week and I find it does both jobs well.

I have multiple accounts (checking, loans, investment, credit cards) so I transfer money from checking to reduce principal on a loan for example. If I enter the wrong number and have to edit the transfer in the checking account, the edit is not updated in the receiving account. I have to delete the transfer in the receiving account and delete in checking and then redo the transfer.

I like the fact that you have subcategories, but having the capability to do split transactions would be much appreciated. Is that something you are considering in a later version?

Thanks again for all your hard work.

  21. Hey:

By far I really like your application. I just have one small problem, If i make a transaction by error, i cant remove it or delete it. I know, i could just change the transaction detail next time i make another transaction; but i would prefer if could just delete it and make a new transaction. The same would apply to categories and subcategories. I would really appreciate if you look into this… Thanks

  22. Sorry its confusing, but all you need to do is swipe to delete.
